TPI Test Result
It is surprising that the developmental and the nurturing perspectives are the highest among the 5, because I used to think that it is really important for the students to understand concepts for subjects like math. This result shows that I would like to help students develop mathematical thinking instead of just transmitting knowledge to them.
My question is whether we need to consider and balance all 5 perspectives.
I think that a balance of all five perspectives is helpful. However, each teacher's particular approach will tend to lean towards the perspectives that come from that person's background, beliefs, thinking, teaching context, etc. It's good to know yourself as a teacher and to realize which perspectives you tend towards!
